By accessing OnlineGuitar.ca or booking a lesson, you agree to the Terms below.
1. Definitions
- “Site” refers to OnlineGuitar.ca.
- “Teacher,” “Instructor,” “we,” or “us” refers to Andrei Tucra.
- “Student,” “you,” or “user” refers to any person using the site or booking lessons.
- “Lesson” refers to any virtual session delivered via Zoom or other online platforms.
2. Eligibility & Parental Consent
- Students must be at least 18 years old to book and pay for lessons.
- Students under 18 may take lessons only with explicit consent from a parent or legal guardian.
- The parent/guardian is responsible for payment, conduct, and ensuring the minor has appropriate supervision during lessons.
3. Free Trial Lesson
- Each new student may book one (1) free trial lesson.
- The free trial is 30 minutes, covering goals, skill assessment, basic exercises, and program overview.
- No credit card is required.
- After the trial, the student may choose:
- 4-Lesson Package ($120 for four 40-minute lessons), or
- Pay-As-You-Go lessons ($35 per 40-minute lesson).
4. Lesson Format
- All lessons are delivered online through Zoom or a similar video platform.
- Students are responsible for:
- a working internet connection,
- functioning audio/video equipment,
- having their instrument tuned and ready.
5. Payments
Available Payment Methods
- E-Transfer
- PayPal
- Stripe (coming soon)
Pricing
- 4-Lesson Package: $120 CAD (40-minute lessons)
- Pay-As-You-Go: $35 CAD per 40-minute lesson
Payment for packages must be made before the first lesson of the package.
6. Refund & Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Notice
- Students must give at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule a lesson.
- Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are forfeited.
Make-Up Lessons
- Make-up lessons may be offered at the instructor’s discretion based on availability.
- Make-ups must occur within the same week to prevent students from stretching packages unfairly.
Refunds
- Package refunds apply only to remaining lessons and only for the following reasons:
- Instructor failed to show up or repeatedly missed/changed lessons
- Instruction was unsatisfactory due to instructor error
- Technical or scheduling issues caused by the instructor
- Packages are not refunded for:
- student cancellations,
- lack of attendance,
- loss of interest or availability on the student’s side.
No refunds for completed lessons.
7. Student Conduct
Students agree to:
- Attend lessons on time
- Come prepared with their instrument, materials, and Zoom-ready setup
- Follow instructor guidance during lessons
- Speak respectfully and avoid disruptive behavior
The instructor may discontinue lessons with a student who behaves disrespectfully or disruptively, without refund.
8. No Recording Policy
To protect privacy and teaching integrity:
- Recording lessons is strictly prohibited, whether audio, video, or screen capture.
- Recording is allowed only with explicit written permission from the instructor.
9. Teaching Materials & Copyright
All teaching materials—including tabs, PDFs, exercises, videos, and lesson plans—are the property of OnlineGuitar.ca / Andrei Tucra.
Students may:
- Use the materials for personal learning
- Print or save copies for their own practice
Students may not:
- Redistribute or publish materials
- Sell or upload materials to any platform
10. Website Content
All content on OnlineGuitar.ca—including text, graphics, images, and video—is protected by copyright.
Unauthorized reproduction or reuse is prohibited.
11. Limitation of Liability
OnlineGuitar.ca is not liable for:
- internet outages,
- technical issues on the student’s end,
- injury resulting from improper posture or instrument handling,
- any damages arising from the student’s use of the site or participation in lessons.
Lessons are for educational purposes only. No specific results or skill levels are guaranteed.
12. Service Changes
We reserve the right to:
- modify lesson prices,
- change lesson policies,
- update these Terms & Conditions,
- discontinue or add lesson types,
- introduce additional instructors in the future.
Changes take effect immediately upon posting on this page.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein.
